This blog is dedicated to my favourite actor of all time; James Maitland Stewart "Jimmy" (May 20, 1908 – July 2, 1997) One of the most naturally gifted individuals who ever hit the silver screen. He won the hearts of generations of movie viewers with a confused innocence and stammering delivery that made his acting seem genuine and effortless. His projections on the silver screen are so much more than the words in his scripts, he made them our friends. He helped teach us how to live, and how to appreciate living. As an actor, he has and will continue to entertain and inspire millions.

Harvey (1950)

Elwood P. Dowd: I always have a wonderful time, wherever I am, whomever I'm with.

(4/4) ☆☆☆☆ (Masterpiece)

The classic stage hit gets the Hollywood treatment in the story of Elwood P. Dowd who makes friends with a spirit taking the form of a human-sized rabbit named Harvey that only he sees (and a few privileged others on occasion also.) After his sister tries to commit him to a mental institution, a comedy of errors ensues. Elwood and Harvey become the catalysts for a family mending its wounds and for romance blossoming in unexpected places. Written by Dale Roloff, Starring James Stewart, Josephine Hull & Peggy Dow.

Elwood P. Dowd: Well, thank you Harvey! I prefer you too.
